T-Series MG TF Production

I was thinking the same thing. And the MGF and last TF are very similar to the last MR2. In many ways.

Well,now, that is good news.
It doesn't say what engine they're using - i wonder if it's the K-series still? That never did get approval over here, which is why Federal Lotus have Toyota engines. I wonder if they will this time?
This is definitely the MG TF, not the MGF, though. The MGF had odd "hydrospastic" suspension.

Here is a site map of the industrial park where the intended MG plant is supposed to be. As of a month ago, no purchase or lease of land has been made by anyone for the assembly plant. The green areas are still for sale or lease and there is still plenty of land for an assembly plant. You would think that this would be taken care of by now if their planning on starting up in 2008. I'll believe it when I see it. I do hope it gels though, as it could help a lot of people who are in need of a job. PJ

The Ardmore site is supposed to be used for production of the coupe model of the TF. I hope this lack of movement on Nanjing's part wont signal another round of disappointment for those who love the marque.

We wish. If it ever gels, it will be just another run of the mill glob that you'll have to look at the logo to know what it is. In my opinion, there's very few cars today that have any character, one you can recognize half a mile away, so to speak. The so called new MG, is not one of them. It's been said that the Chinese don't even recognize the original definition of MG, (Morris Garage). It's just a degradation of the MG name and personally I wouldn't own one. That does not include the original English made models that the design was copied from. I would definately own one of them. It's just that they put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

It would be cool, that if the new MG's took off, instead of making new models first they'd start making the RV8 again. Modern looking B is still great!

Upgraded front suspension, classic body tub, sleeker body lines. Small car...big engine!!
