A buddy of mine just put his 78 TR8 pre-production coupe up for sale. It is a pretty nice car. Not nearly as nice as the brown one his son just sold for $9K, but nice and well cared for. Cars like this usually get sold thru word of mouth, and don't stay on the market long. If you want a coupe, here's your chance. They are a rare breed. It is estimated that there were less than 400 coupes made, and less than 150 were the pre-production models built in 77. A good number of those early cars were automatics. This one is not only a 5 speed, but it also has the rare sliding Webasto moon roof. As far as TR8s go, I much prefer the coupes over the convertibles. I've had four. Sold one, have one, wrecked two. The last three are/were race cars, and I say wrecked, but they can be rebuilt with a clean shell. Here is a link to the car https://www.cardomain.com/ride/2589809/1 Sorry if posting this in the forum violates some prodical on this site, but such a rare car needs a little special consideration.
