Wedge Starting problems TR8

Hi
I have a 1980 TR8. A few weeks ago I was driving the vehicle and all was good I’m in 4th gear at 60 mph when all of a sudden everything went dead. I lost power brakes, steering and propulsion, fortunately I was able to stop without causing a problem and ended up AAA back home !
The car had start issues and it was recommended to change the cold start which I did. I also had the cpu worked on at the wedge shop and re fitted that. I have a spark but not even a hint of starting !
I have never worked on fuel injectors (and don’t really want to) but it’s sorta pointing that way ??
Anybody have some ideas ? Thanks in advance
Paddy

A couple of easy checks you can do your self, check to see if the fuel pump fuse is blown. next to check, turn the key on not to start and see if you hear the fuel pump whirring sound. There may be a fuel pump replay but that is a little harder to check. Frank

You will need to open the flap in the air flow meter to allow the pump to run. Another easy way to verify fuel is to remove the cold start injector from the plenum, put it in a ziploc bag, and crank the engine. You should see fuel spray into the bag (assuming pressure, and the thermotime switch is working). You might invest in a fuel pressure gauge, as even if you have fuel, the pressure might be off.

Lots of other components on the system that can be tested individually, search for Bosch L-jettronic diagnosis, you won't find Rover V8 specific information, but the components all work the same.
