up-dated radiator

last weekend i took my bugeye out for the BEAT..british-european auto tour in arizona...there was another bugeye along which had a Speedwell radiator...i can't seem to find this product and wondered what new style radiators are being used by this group...also the correct size demensions would help also...cheers

How about having your old radiator recored?
Frank used a geo metro radiator in one of his cars.

thanks for the link...currently when i hit the long flat stretches the temp climbs perhaps i need a 2nd fan any ideas about keeping things cooler

A fan will not help when you are at speed (only idle). I'd give the system a good flushing and see if that doesn't solve your problem. Also, make sure you are not using too much antifreeze.

I love my Geo Metro radiator. Never over 170* and it's smaller than a stock Spridget radiator.
Best $20 I ever spent at the junkyard.
But get the rad from an automatic tranny Metro, the sticks use a taller rad.

I put in a 160 deg. summer thermostat. Did wonders for cooling my engine down, It barely gets out of the blue area now

Ever since my engine was rebuilt (complete with hot-tanked block, etc), I've never had any trouble (short of when the coolant runs low) of overheating. I think flushing is the best solution for starters.
