Removed door lock to paint exterior door. Have little
to no idea how I got it out. Pushed, pryed and
prodded.
Got it out. Good enough. Reinstall I put back chrome
casing (I think upside down). Having difficulty removing
the second time, maybe because of intimidation by new
door paint.
Also, on the insdie of the door, dropped and misplaced
the screw/nuthead with pin with the little, tiny pinhole
in it for the keeper pin.
Anyway, if anybody understands the mechanics and/or
dynamics of this door lock and how to get it out again,
I'd appreciate it. Don't want to damage the paint.
Somehow, I knew there was a reason I didn't want to remove
this door lock.
Wouldn't surprise me much if nobody had a clue what I'm
talking about. Could not find info in any repair
manual at my disposal.
Which reminds me, I'm still waiting for a Bently repair
manual from one of the Big Three.
