grille cost question

has any one had to buy a new slat grille and grille surround? I need to for the chrome bumper conversion. Would anyone mind sharing what you paid - either here or by PM. Just trying to sort out how much it will cost.

The surround was the most expensive part I bought for my conversion, I got a new one from Bright Bits (ebay seller) in England for about $140 shipped. It came in 4 parts, all shiny & new.

The slatted grille is going to cost at least $100 - $150 for a nice one. You can get a used & nasty one for less and get a kit with new SS slats and then make repairs.
NOS importers (ebay seller) sells a nice grille badge - the most authentic looking one I've seen.

I'm in the process of replacing the grille on my '63...bought new pieces where old were dented or marred; kept the good pieces.
