Hello everyone!
New guy here with a couple of questions about my 1979 triumph Spitfire 1500 California model. First, on the EGR valve there is a rubber tube extending from the valve to the carb (vacuum line?) the tube has inside of it a little metal ball locked into place-doesn't let air/gases go in or out-is it supposed to be like that? what's it's function if it just blocks everthing?
Second question. Again, from the EGR valve there is a metal tube making a quick u-turn into the intake manifold-this tube is also blocked! are they really supposed to be that way? or was it the PO's idea of bypassing the anti-smog yet fool the DMV? and replies would be appreciated. Thanks.
