I've had my BN4 Longbridge engine overhauled and converted to unleaded fuel.
Since the overhauling, I've driven approximately 200 miles.
A rattling noise has started to appear everytime I drive uphill, between 2.000 to 2.500 rpm. If I release the gaspedal sligthly, the noise disappears only to reappear a couple of seconds after accelerating.
1) Is this pinking?
It's always difficult to describe the rattling noise;
it sounds a like a baby's rattle filled with
screws /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif or something like that.
2) I'm filling the car with 98 octane unleaded. Could this level be too high?
Or do the valves just require adjusting?
Like always, while awaitng your replies, I'll have a /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thirsty.gif or two.
