Well as you all know, I've been working on MGs for the better part of a year and a half, and I have a ton of non-functional ones currently. (I am addressing this, of course! LOL)
Well, a friend of mine, who I helped by giving a parts car to, got his car running well here locally, and I was privilged enough to be allowed to drive his car.
Mind you, I had only driven an MG once. A guy who once worked closeby to me allowed me to putt-putt his B roadster around the block once, but I had never really gotten the chance to drive it, if you you know what I mean.
Well Paul threw me the keys and jumped in with me. I have to say that it was one of the most exciting things I've ever gotten to do. All my life, I've been able to ride in one of these wonderful machines, but the first time that you actually get to take one out on the open road.
Getting to thrash it up in the 4000 rpm range, making those gloriously unrefined sounds, and pulling it around curves, it was so incredibly exciting.
It was 3 days ago, and I haven't been in any kind of foul mood since!
