I was talking with a friend about my experiences with my convertible top, which has "popped" open on me on several occasions, when I'd hit a bump in the road. Very discomforting!!!
Traveling down the road at 40-45 mph, and then having the top pop open is not much fun...
We discovered from looking at TRF books and Moss catalogs that there are "catch plates" screwed into the top of the windshield frame. Unfortunately, it does not seem that these pieces are still available!
Has anyone had any experience replacing these pieces, or know of any place where they can be found? Although it's not quite "open air" driving, I do like driving the 6 with the top up at times.
My temporary "fix" has been a vise clamp that I keep tucked behind the passenger seat!
