Zenith Stromburg 175 carburator tune?

Hello Stromburg fans. I've been working on a 74 Jensen Healey and have run into carb problems. The car was running great but needed a Temperature compensator on the front Stromburg 175 CD-2. I installed it and now the front carburator is flooding into the vacuum line connecting the two carbs. Does anybody have any tips on tuning this setup?

Check the float, float level, and check that the needle and seat is actually closing. Changing a compensator should have no influence on the fuel level in the carb.Check that the choke is working, and that it closes when the cable is pushed closed.

Stromberg fan?? Isn't that an oxymoron? You didn't have any kind of problem like this before you changed the compensator? I'd check your float level, and especially your needle and seat. After that I'd check the choke, and make sure that when you changed your compensator that you didn't accidentally mess anything up, but I can't see how it would.

I'm with Walter...I didn't know anyone was a fan of the 175CDs. SUs are so easy to work on (and access, with the float bowls on the side!) Strombergs have the horrible bypass valves, temp compensators, water chokes etc...

But I'd guess that the float needle fell down when all the fuel poured out as the carb was being worked on and jammed open.
