I've had a vibration problem all along in the front end of my '74 Midget. It hits around 55 and comes and goes. I've replaced both inner and outer tie rod ends, managed to align it myself using the string method, and now have decided to bite the bullet and upgrade the old style bearings with cone bearings suggested in past postings. Everything else seems tight and secure.
Here's the question. My cost at Napa came to approximately $150! Does this sound right? The outers were Timkin and the inner bearings SKS. Those Timkins were the budget busters!
