Has anyone purchased a stainless steel exhaust from BritishVictoria?
The one shown in catalogue is a single pipe, my car being a 1974 is double pipe, the gentleman at BritishVictoria didn't seem to recognize what my concern was.
Any advice on removal of the existing exhaust, tips etc.?
Thanks in advance.

Stu,
If you know exactly what you want from Victoria British and know for a fact that what they have is what you want, then buy from them. Their return policy is excellant, no questions asked. However, if you want advice of any kind, even an explanation of what it is they are selling, you will be wasting your time asking for help. As explained to me by one of their people, Kansas law does not allow them to offer any advice whatsoever because, as she told me, they then become liable. I am not making this up and I have no bone to pick with VB. But, if you want tech help or even advice from a vendor, you may have to look elsewhere. I still do business with them but I know exactly what I want when I call them. If you need advice, check Moss or TRF. Again, I have nothing against VB, and maybe their policy has changed, but try them and see what they say when you have a question about on of their products. I would hope that they have changed but I am not sure that they have. If I seem to be softsoaping this reply it is because I just want someone to prove me wrong.

I am not familiar with the exhaust you are looking at. You need two pipes coming off of the exhaust mainfold to match your existing unit. It can go into a collector from there and do whatever the manufacturer designed it to do.
If it is a stock exhaust configuration, it will not work.

Advice on removal. A long handled 3/8 or 1/2 drive that will easily snap off your u-clamp nuts. Mapp gas or acetylene to heat up the joints real well. A large hammer and possible cold chisel. Die grinder or angle grinder with cut off wheel if you have one(works better than cold chisel).Get the car as high as you can on floor stands. Patience. Timely breaks. A good beverage of your choosing.
Be prepared to replace the studs at the exhaust manifold.

Are you referring to the Falcon system on page 29 of the current summer catalog?

The photo in the catalog shows the single pipe system that was standard for '69-'71. They also list the correct exhaust systems for '72-'74 up to CF12916, then another system for '74 from CF12917 to '76. Remember to order the correct gaskets and any fitting hardware as its not included the kit.

I completed the exhaust installation a week ago.
Everything went well, the correct exhaust arrived, I'd soaked the manifold studs in WD40 for a whole week, it was time to start.
I could not believe how easy it was, the studs fell off, non snapped off, all the support bracketry loosen easily.
After this, I pulled the muffler box as far to the back of the car as possible, then cut it off completely. Got back under the car, the whole exhaust was just lying there, waiting to be pulled forwards.
Hope this helps.
Thanks again.
