My TR3B has a mostly original interior, but there is a mystery that I can't resolve. There are chrome pull handles on the doors- are those original on the late TR3Bs?
I would say no. Never heard of the factory putting them on. If it did have pulls, I'd expect them to be the same as a TR4 while they built both together - but those aren't TR4 pulls.
The door pull cables on my black 1958 TR3A came with a black tubular sheath over the wire wound cable - much like a hand-brake cable for a racing bicycle. It appears that someone may have taken off the black sheath and slid on chromish coloured ones.
Here is the cable system I used on a 1969 TR3A I restored. It is exactly as mine was when I bought it brand new in 1958.

Yes, I see that now. There is a silver gray one (cable housing) on the passenger side, and a black one on the driver's side. I never really noticed that until you mentioned it.
Thanks for the tip, Art. I should probably pick up a set of those. AFAIK they lasted to the TR3/3A transition, when the doors were redesigned with external handles. But they aren't just "pulls", they also activate the door latch.
