Frankly I much prefer a later car, with front disc brakes. I had an earlier TR3 with the front drums for awhile (well, many years actually, but it spent most of that time parked in the side yard), and never could get them to work as well as the discs. Seemed like it always wanted to pull to one side or the other ... which might not have been so bad except it would change from one application to the next! New cylinders, shoes, etc. did not help (and drums were NLA at the time).
But that's just my opinion, I'm glad there are people like Lou (and apparently Randy) that want to preserve and restore those earlier cars. Just let me know, so I can stay either behind, or waay out in front on a run :laugh:
