I tried to get a decent wrinkle finish on the 3A dash. Sprayed it and stripped it twice. Always had luck with wrinkle but no luck on the dash. Maybe since it's got more surface area than other projects and I don't get nice even coats.
So ...
I tried a wrinkle finish powder coat from Eastwood and first try, it not only is nice and even but MUCH more original looking than wrinkle paint. The original is very shallow wrinkle, just like the PC's finish, and spray wrinkle has a deeper grain.
My PC setup consists of the original Eastwood kit (that hooks up to your compressor), an old Thermador SS wall oven that my grandmother used to bake bread in, and a custom mode PC spray booth. The booth started life as an LG dishwasher box (cardboard), has an internal wood frame and shelves, slit open top with flourescent light and removeable bottom tray.
