When I re-installed my roller rockers I snugged down the 6 pedestal studs with new (matching) flat washers and nuts. Now, my torque wrench arm just knew that I had the right amount of snugging. So I went through the ritual of setting all the valves and reset and reset till they were perfect. Just happened to read the Bentley section on torque settings so I took out my trusty SnapOn torque wrench and, whoa, was I off. Took each one up to about 31 lbs and every rocker was closed down. Gotta reset them all. Amazing how much that extra torque on aluminum can seat an assembly. Dummy.
