11/EM/ME What does it stand for?

Also, how rare is a factory blue interior for a tr6? I found one of these for sale and I was just wondering.

Did TR6's have the hardened lead-free heads? If so, what year did they stop making the lead heads?
How much does it cost to do the conversion from lead to lead-free?
Can the lead free heads which came with the car from the factory be used with any kind of gasoline?

What is a "coil" that I here a lot of people here talking about? Does it have to do with the alternator or whatever that one thing is called that makes the spark plugs light up at the right time?

Hi.
I dont know much on the other items you asked about ...But a "coil" is what gives the spark into the distributor then into the spark plug, Its the cylender type object that only has 1 spark plug wire coming out.
As to the unleaded leaded question...Not quite sure, But It could have been somewhere in the early 70's?
Good luck I hope this helps

All USA imported vehicles after 71 had hardened valve seats, note the manufacturers 92-93 octane fuel requirement. If you use the higher octane fuel and are a regular street driver you will see no problems in the valve train for 100k miles. If you are a performance driver only, use an additive.

104+ works great as an octane booster, and is readily available, even in California. The only drawback is that it leaves an odd color on the plugs that makes them hard to read until you get used to it.

For 99 out of 100 people changing the valve seats is a gross waste of money. The degradation (if any) is soooooo gradual that the car will be wrecked twice and sold three times before anyone notices any change in performance. Bob

Unless you are going to physically run the daylights out of your motor, you will see no wear in the seats. Maybe an occasional hand grind every 100k.

I concur with Bob & Larry on the need for hard seats. Most of info put out in favor of hard seats or lead additives is pushed by mechanics/shops, & fuel additive sellers who both stand to profit well from the no lead conversions.

A hand grind consists of lapping the valves by hand as contrasted to remachining the valves & seats.
