I finally got Bugsy's Front Suspension completed yesterday, all is back together but wheels are still off of the ground. I notice a definite difference in turning the steering wheel as turns to the right can be done with one finger while turns to the left especially when getting close to full left lock take a lot of effort to accomplish. Before I try this one for a test drive and discover I can't turn left under load I need some advice on how to fix:
1) Kingpin nuts turned down so there was free play L/R but zero up down movement on spindle.
2) Tried to make sure steering arm bolts were tightened equally so steering arm was not cocked or not sitting square against the spindle.
3) Trunnions were fitted same as shown as in MOSS catalog. Unless Drawing is wrong they should be on correctly
4) 1 fingers pressure to go to the right, a full hand to go to the left especially when approaching full lock.
Thoughts to try
1) Back off kingpin nuts one flat, one side only or both sides.
