While I have the engine torn down to the present state I am tempted to remove the pistons and check the rings etc.
I am afraid that if the rings are OK I will do more harm than good.
Before the tear down the car had 75-80 psi at road speed and about 50 at idle. The car does not smoke or use an excessive amount of oil.
