I took this shot on my post-registration drive today. I really like it -- I think it captures the potential of the drive.

I did do a bit of PhotoShopping with the Gimp (can you PhotoShop with another program? Is PhotoShop really a verb?) to remove a telephone pole from the background. I'm really quite pleased with how it came out. The original is below.

It's about even, I think. The Tunebug has been off to road for most of the last 40+ years. I think he's as happy as I am to be driving again.

I'm taking it very easy so far, with the new motor still in early break in (I'm following Hap's instructions carefully). There is no question that power is present now where it wasn't before! I'll be doing a complete tuneup in the next few days that should get everything settled as it should be.

I can tell that the motor wants to run, though. It's going to be good fun.

Glad to see you are not afraid of the Gimp. I've used it since the early days. I even contributed code to the early gtk libraries.

A few years ago when they got a solid version working for the Mac I gave it a try. It works so well for my needs that I couldn't justify having the school district that I work for pay for Photoshop.

Yep, photo$hop is slick and has a bunch of support, but for occasional use the GIMP is very powerful and affordable.
