Anyone have a favorite Paint spray gun ?

Do you have a dream spray gun that you like to use that you wouldn't be caught on the earth without it? Do tell!

Two DeVilbiss guns so old they could vote. And a Graco gravity gun. Funny how ya get accustomed to the 'feel' of some tools, I don't like using different guns.

Lately seen the Chinese knock-off Binks copies, amazingly cheap but seemingly usable. Friend with a sign shop got the three-gun "kit" a year ago and his guys use the things a LOT. Dunno if I'd want to finish a vehicle with one, tho.

Buy mine from Harbor Freight....good for a couple uses.

I have a old DeVilbiss MBC, man I used to lay out the clear coat with it when I was spraying on the line.
Can't find parts for it anymore, the JGA guns were good hose machines too ;>)
A really slow but awsome atomizing gun is the Geo FX. Sata with the right tip for the right material is a great gun too but so expensive!
I just bought a IWATA for spraying my high build primer and I just LOVE IT !

I have some older guns but I like my Binks M1G HVLP. Will last forever the way I use it. A little hard to get used to with the top cup, but now I love it. Faster and less over spray.

Paul, what size tip is in your Binks? Is it your all over gun or just for one product?

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but, I use a 1.4 mm with a # 93 air nozzle. I don't use it for primer, I have another gun I use for that. I only use the M1 for clear and colors.

I use an old Devilbiss like this for primer with a 1.8 tip. Kinda heavy, never did like it much.

Sometimes I use an old Craftsman pressure cup for priming, but only if over spray isn't of much concern. As for spot priming, I usually use a self etching primer in a rattle can.
