FYI Just installed a HVDA transmission conversion in my TR3A and have discovered that the W58 Toyota transmission is so close to the frame that the speedo cable has to make a radical 90* turn, possibly damaging it or effecting the functionality of the speedo. The cable also runs VERY close to the exhaust. Herman told me this occasionally happens and that there is a 90* speedometer cable adapter that can solve this problem. See below part number and picture. There is another type of adapter that is of cast aluminium but Herman said it is too large to work. If anyone has one they are willing to sell to me please let me know as I would like to install it before installing the transmission tunnel, carpet etc. I've had no luck on ebay, or local wrecking yards.
