How to replace door windows on a 77 MG Midget

I am not computer savvy but I know a nut from a bolt.
This subject may have already been posted but I don't know how to find it.

I took the car apart a year ago using a Robert Bently workshop manual.
While taking the doors apart, the windows somehow disengaged from the regulators and I was able to remove everything. Body work and paint job have been done and I've started putting it back together.

Any suggestions on how to reengage the windows to the regulators and in what order?

The manual makes reassembly sound simple, jut do it in reverse order of disassembly.

the bottom of the windows slide into the regulator - you will see a gap - Grease the slide and, if I recall correctly, the regulator needs to be loose in the door to get the window in - then locate it and tighten it in place

I just reinstalled mine mine a month or two back. I used the article as a partial guide also, but I don't believe there is anything that can tell you exactly how to do it- you just have to work it out. I found it very, very frustrating until I hit the right positioning of the entire assembly. Patience, patience, patience. A liberal spraying of white grease on the inner face of the door skin will help reduce scratching the new paint while sliding in the mechanism. Installing the seals is what drove me nuts- I never could get the clips to work and ended up using a 3M adhesive sealent.

The seal clips can be a headache. Somewhere there is a picture of the factory tool but I made one up out of 1" by 1/8" with a "J" bent into the bottom. A little masking tape to hold the clips while you are positioning things helps as well.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all of your help. Taking the whole car apart was difficult and I should have kept better notes and pics.
Reassembling the doors is like listening to the smell of the color red or playing grab-asp with a ghost!
