TR4/4A any tricks to change rear brake hose - especially on passenger side [TR4A IRS]

Are there any tricks to changing the rear brake hose on the passenger side of a TR4A IRS? The frame hose end is in such a tight space that there really isn't any room to move the wrenchs. Any tips would be very appreciated.

Remove the body from the frame, its a piece of cake after that  I know, that's not helpful. You may have better luck unscrewing the fitting on the hardline from the differential side, rather than unscrewing the fitting on the hose from the wheel side.

On my other LBC I took a grinder to an open-end wrench (Harbor Freight) to make one that required minimal swing room. Ground both the head and the prior inch of the neck til it was much skinnier.

Not suitable for initial loosening -- for that I like a flare wrench -- but fine for further loosening/tightening. Mine was needed for bleeding but same approach might work for lines in tight spaces.

I don't recall having that much trouble with it, but as I recall I may have loosened the nuts holding the hose to the suspension arm first, pulled it up off the arm then loosened the hose with more room to operate, but I don't remember for sure.

Thats familiar now that I hear it, hose goes on or off easier with it not attached to suspension arm, take off first or attach last..

Thanks everyone for the comments. I am going to try it again this afternoon and I will let you know how I make out.

I remember thinking it would be hard and it wasn't. If you're just talking about the hose connection at the frame end, I think I used a small crow-foot and got it loose.

Thanks everyone. After taking a break from it for a couple of days (this works quite often) I went back and tried again with a stubby open end and a flare wrench. This time it was easy. I hope the driver's side will also be easy.
