TR2/3/3A Wiring to ammeter

I am wiring the dash panel on my 1957 TR3. There are two wires to the ammeter - a Brown for A1 on the Fuse Block and a Brown/White from A on the Control Box. Which wire goes to which side of the ammeter? The two sides are the Charge side of the ammeter and the Discharge side of the ammeter.

Just to avoid confusion you might want to say if your TR is still positive ground or if you have changed it to negative ground.

I couldn't recall 'charge' and 'discharge' being labeled = possibly + & - ? I suppose I just always put it back the way it was if it was working correctly before.

Anyway - here's a shot of the back of mine (59 TR3A positive ground) in case that is enough of a clue:

Thanks Geo and Randall for the quick responses. I meant to say the car was positive ground in my original question, but forgot. And, you are correct, the meter says - and +, not discharge and charge. I need to check things before I type them. Anyway, it appears the Brown/White wire from A on the Control Box goes on the - side of the meter for a positive ground car. If anyone knows differently please tell me. I got this car as a pile of parts without any gauges so the rewiring is a pain (I mean fun).

Easy enough to try it out before you mount the gauge; just turn on the headlights or something and see which way it swings. That's the way I do most things anyway, since so often the markings and color codes are illegible. (Actually, on my TR3, pretty much all the original wires are just a brown cloth covering over black insulation. Any color codes are long gone.)
