MADRIVER started something here with this post. I can hardly wait to get my TR6 on the road with me. It will be like an old reunion when it becomes a daily driver again. Lets see, gotta have a hard top (lots of rain in LA), new tires, reinstall the dash support amd a 550 mile trip. Sounds simple!

Glad I could cause some trouble. I drove Greenie *again* today and had a funny thing happen. I started hearing this strange whistling noise that I'd never heard come from my 250 before, and couldn't even figure out what it was. It didn't change with engine speed. Perhaps a coolant leak somewhere? But I didn't see any steam. I'm in traffic moving fairly slowly, and I keep listening for this noise, and start to feel the temptation to curse the car under my breath. Then the road opens up into two lanes and I come to a stop light. The late model Honda something-or-other that had been behind me for several blocks pulls up next to me. I continue to hear the noise, and when the light turns green, the Honda pulls away, and with it, the noise! Wasn't Greenie after all. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
I sometimes get over-sensitive to noises and smells when driving Greenie, since we've only been together for a year and just under 1000 miles! Like the time I drove by a bbq restaurant right after changing my dizzie cap, roter and points, and thought for sure the smell was my dizzie melting down. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
