Who drove their Triumph today?

Beautiful warm weather here today....unwrapped the 6 and took it out for a drive....even made some more progress on it(i wasn't expecting to make any until spring); got most of the vacuum lines re-routed(properly), fixed up some of the air vent tubes under the dash, pulled off the kick panels to install speakers later.

Got my little TR6 out today with the intentions of getting it up to driving temperature then returning home to tune it. It was so nice today (around 70) and the TR was running sooo good that 50 miles later I returned with a big smile on my face.

The local Triumph club is going out this evening for a "rally" to view the Crhistmas light displays. When this was planned, I never thought I'd be able to drive my TR3A for this, but since it's high 70's today I think we'll have a nice Triumph parade.

My wife and I put on about 75 miles this weekend Xmas shopping.

lots of stop and go, But the TR6 performed Flawlessly

Drove it all weekend. Went shopping today and I was stopped by 3 different people wanting to talk about the car. 2 pretty ladies and a guy in a Ferrari. It seems that the Surrey top is quite a hit.

I am planning to drive it to work tomorrow and Tuesday and then into the garage for the rainy end of the week.

Does THIS count? I had several thumbs up from passing motorists...almost caused a couple of accidents from nosy drivers. Two kids at a gas station in Indiana wanted to know if that was a Studebaker! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Especially that! I was wondering where the pic was. You close to getting it home yet?

I went out to WhiteLightning got in sat down, fastened the seat belt,& shut-up & did a VIRTUAL drive around the block,BUT NEVER LEFT THE GARAGE.Kinda like dropping a quarter into a K-MART 5 minute ride. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

Yes, indeed. About 63 degrees in the nations capital. Put the top down and went to a few open houses. The 6 was running beautifully. Close to 70 degrees tomorrow. Gotta do it again!

Took the TR8 for another run yesterday afternoon - 65-70 degrees and perfect driving weather. I saw several late models out with tops down - Mustangs, Sebrings, and one Volvo, and lots of those of the two-wheel persuasion.

I'm still sorting things out on the 8, and the weather has cooperated perfectly. Hope to see more driving days this week.

DOH! - Shoulda called - I'm always up for coffee!

Saturday, went to Cars and Coffee. A little rain never hurt.
Sunday, cold and clear, perfect day along the Southern California Coast.
