I am not realy sure here, but I think the 7 and 8 have different tranny mounts. I believe the 8 has a harder compound rubber. It's been a long time since I've had to deal with that. I make my own out of round aluminum stock. Pat, aren't you interested in autoxing your car? If so, you might want to look into using a solid mount. I need to make up another one for my soon to be road worthy street car. If I still have the right material laying around, I could make up a spare. Before you even ask, I can't comment on transmitted vibration to the driver. This will be the first road going car I have had in many years, so I don't know what it will do for driveability. I do know that it doesn't matter on the race cars. They are so stiff, that you can feel every bump out there. On a side note. My eurethane engine mounts for the BMW 2002 finally came in last night. They have been on back order from Ireland Engineering since last fall. I guess I can finally start my winter BMW project now. Good price at 90 bucks for the pair. It would be nice if stuff like that was available for the TR8. It gets frustrating seeing all of the go fast goodies available to your competition but not for the 8. I usualy end up making what I need.
