Can't wait till this evening ! I will be St.Ignace bound !

Looking forward to seeing some BCF'ers over the weekend !

Hey, I seen the 74 at the car show- it looked great. I looked at the lawn at the colonial when we walked by twice but couldn't seem to catch you to say hi again.Maybe next year?
I drove up sat morning and back sat afternoon- I think I'll go back to staying the night.
Again way to go waving the british badge around st ignace. Hope you get an award. Maybe if you get your 2 cars to st' ignace next year we can triple team them at the parade.
Jim

Sorry I missed you Jim - fiance found something else to do after we walked thru the show... shopping !, I did meet up with Steve later in the day - his Spridget is a very, very nice car - wow, impressive !
Heh my poor ol' 74... I gave it the first wax job since I bought it last fall right in place at 7am saturday morning after it was lined up for the show... seen lots of people stopping to check it out which is nice, something different I suppose.
Yep hopefully have both there next year, already booked hotel for 2012 - maybe it is time for me to do the parade, that would be good to wave the british badge that way as well !
St.Ignace 2011 show was another great weekend, goes by far to quick !

Another great weekend at St. Ignace. Great weather, great crowd. No awards for the Brits this year, but we're wearing them down, so we'll get one some day.

Maybe when all the little kids that I let sit in my car (so Mom or Dad can take their picture) get old enough to vote, they'll remember those cute British cars and vote for them. Of course, we'll be in the Abingdon old folks home racing our wheelchairs through the twisty hallways by then.

Steve

Gorgeous place for a show! I'd love to but the way my year is going so far, I doubt it.

Kurt.

Just watched the parade. A sprite, mgb, and a bugeye. One year we are gonna have to get them all together and parade them together. I didnt bring the midget up here this year, maybe next year...?

Guess JER didnt make it this year. I looked for you at the colonial inn. And I didnt see your red sprite. Guess I'll start to get guys ready for next year? I'm gonna get the midget ready for next year. Anyone else want to join the british army for next year at st ignace?

I represented the British Car hobby at St. Ignace this year. And my Black Tulip Spridget was the only MG in the Car Show on Saturday. There were 2 Deloreans, but only 1 MG! (I don't know what happened to the Sprite and MGB after the parade.) There was a lot of interest in my Spridget on Saturday. I think I should have won an award for "most photographed car". And several people said that they were going to bring their MG or Triumph or Healey or whatever next year. But several people also asked what the h*** I was doing, bringing a British car to a hot rod show. So if you do come next year, be prepared for all types of spectators. I'll be there, across from the ACE hardware!

Steve

Was your car the midget with the bugeye front end? If so, that thru me and my dad off. He had a bugeye when he was younger and I have a 79 midget. We both recognized part of the car but new something was different with the rest.

Yeah, next year we need more british cars. I always visualize 3 british cars in the parade going 3 wide.

Absolutely ! I didn't loose my room at the Colonial & have it confirmed for next year, I plan on bringing both the 67 & 74 there for the show, the wife can drive the 74, not the 67 though, the retro-fit spitfire seats are to low & she can't see over the dash !, hopefully I will find some 66-68 seats someday...
So we have you, I'm sure Steve & then my 2... that's 4 already !

Sounds good. I need to do a little body work and paint if I want to get it in the show. But I think I can get it done before june. If not I'll just let it show the way it is.

I'm sure there is a few more british cars capable of being there next year..... :yesnod:

Hey Jim

Will you be in St.Ignace this year ? I have room booked at Colonial & plan on having the 67 & 74 there... if you want to do the "3 wide" in the parade, I'm game. Who else will be joining ? I know we can count on Steve being there.

Getting close, I should have both cars well ran in for the season by the end of June.

I sent in my registrations as well, got registration information packages back from organizers a couple weeks ago - all set ! I was coming back from Traverse City on Saturday & swung thru St.Ignace, always funny to see it a couple weeks before, such a quiet little town... and then Car Show Weekend happens
See you there Steve, heck maybe we will meet up by chance in Mackinaw City first like we did 2 years ago !
