St Ignace , Michigan car show.

Eight fridays from now Midge & I will be cruising the streets of St.Ignace!

Hope to see a few more LBC's there this year !

It doesnt look like I'll be taking my midget to ST. Ignace this year. I've got another project sucking up space in the garage(69 chevelle). I'm hoping at the end of the month or maybe first week of July to get it out of storage.I know, I should be reported to the lbc protection agency for abuse.I'll look for your midget and wave at you when you go by.

Not Good !
yes this is obvious LBC abuse ! tsk tsk
Make sure you give me a wave when you see me crusin around, maybe I'll see ya during the show.
In four friday's I'll be there, looking forward to it, can't believe how fast the time is passing.

Jer and Jim - I think I'll be up there (about 95% certain, but even just attending isn't guaranteed at this point).

Unfortunately, I can be certain the The Blue Bomb will not be in attendence as it's still got no front suspension/brakes. :frown: One of these years it'll actually get up there!

If you are entering your car in the show, I'll find you . Last year people were talking about lining all the british cars together. Are they still planning it?

Jim

I got my registration package in the mail on friday ! yep I will be in the show again this year, same spot in front of the Colonial Inn, not sure if anyone else from the forum is going in the show... hopefully there will be some more-

Only a couple more days !!
Tomorrow night is detailing night for Midge, then leave her in the garage until thursday afternoon when I will pilot her down the road for St.Ignace - so far the forecast isn't to bad, rain is supposed to lift wednesday & then a 30% chance for rain on saturday...
If anyone will be at the show, please stop by & say hello !

I'll be there friday afternoon. If I dont see you friday, I'll look for you saturday at the car show. Good luck and give those american muscle cars a run for their money.

Jim

ha ha I will do my best Jim ! Midge is in the garage with fresh wax & detailing job that I did last night, with the assistance of my friend who does a better job cleaning the interior, heck she even used q-tips on the to clean all the nooks & crannys. Midge is looking as good as a 15 year old amateur restoration can  Hopefully we will cross paths.

since I don't have to compete with you this year I just might win an award  ha ha ha

Good one. Hope you get as lucky as I did last year! I'll see if I can persude my family to vote for you too if they show up.

Hey, don't forget me!!
I'll be there with my 1966 MGB-GT. (My spridget just got an engine rebuild and needs more local miles before I chance 300 miles to St. Ignace.)
Tell your family to split their votes between Jer and me. I hope it's a big family....we'll need all the votes we can get competing against all that Detroit Muscle.

I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon - should be there by 6 or 7. I'll look for you all on Sat.

Healey's not going AGAIN this year. Let's aim for 2011!

Hi Kevin,
We're leaving in the morning...hope to be there by Happy Hour!

If you can make it a long happy hour (which, isn't hard with Reggie and Bob there!) I am sure we'd be there to join in.

We should be leaving Rochester at 1:00 or 1:30.

Steve, Kevin & Jim - great to see all of you at the show yesterday !
I don't know where the time went, the whole weekend flew by far to quick !
I made it home safe with no breakdowns, pants are a little wet from some convertible tops leaks, but that is to be expected - lets hope we don't have such a wet weekend next year!, at least the rain cleared (mostly) for the parade & show, things were NOT looking promising Saturday morning at 6 am
I did inherit a new engine oil leak over the weekend, not sure where it specifically is coming from yet, but I'll get on that this weekend...
Anyways, thanks again for dropping by, wish there was more time in the day to visit longer.
Hopefully next year all of you will have your Spridgets there, it will happen sooner or later !

Glad to hear you made it home safely. Your midget looked great! Glad to see you weren't the only british car there.Hopefully I'll have the midget there next year if I can get the garage queen pushed to one side. Oh, I take it you didn't win peoples choice? If not, I tried to get as much support for you that I could. Sorry to the beautiful mgb-gt, I didnt see your posts til saturday night. Next year maybe we can get them all together in the show.
Did any one notice that ford focus with a v8 in it and rear wheel drive? I wondered how long it would take before someone did that.
Jim

Kevin, Jer, Jim:
We avoided the traffic and didn't leave St. Ignace until this morning (Monday). You would be amazed at how quiet the town is by late Sunday afternoon. If I do the same thing next year, I'm going to lobby for a "last car out of Dodge" award.
Saturday's event was amazing as usual - 1700 cars were reportedly in the show. No British winners this year.
Kevin and I had the pleasure of meeting Linda Vaughn - Miss Hurst Shifter on Saturday evening. Quite an experience, especially for Kevin. He has pictures!!!
Next year's show will occur the weekend after the Midget 50th Anniversary Event in Elkhart Lake, WI. If things work out, it will be a he!! of a road trip for my purple Spridget.
