What oil do you recommend for the OD unit in my BJ7? I searched the archives, but could not find the post where this was discussed.

I believe Keoke is still taking a break and we miss him.
Your question has several good answers. Check the archives under gear box or trans oil. Some like 30 wt non-detergent. Some like Red Line. They seem to be the top two.

Isn't the oil shared in gearbox and overdrive?
