jetronics fuel injection

Hello, downloaded a manual on jetronics fuel injection from this web site:

sorry I can't figure out how to make it a link. I know it is for porches, but I believe that the jetronics is the same; only difference would be firmware. gives pin outs of ecu and cables, troubleshooting guide. Might be good for TR8's, SD1's, Volvos, etc.

Phil, there's at least three VERY different types of jetronic injection out there, D-Jet, K-Jet, and L-Jet... and each of the three don't really have much in common with the others.
D-jet is the crudest, and was typically found in the early to mid 70s. I think Porsche may have been the most common user, but I'm not sure.
D-Jet is mostly mechanical.
K-Jet was heavily used by almost all the europeans, and many US and Japanese automakers, in the late 70s and early 80s. It has limitations, but it's relatively simple. One of it's quirks is that the injectors are always on (not pulsed), so it's sometimes called CIS (constant injection system). K-jet is about half-mechanical, half computerized.
L-Jet took over in the mid 80s, and this is the type that most folks these days are most familiar with.. pulsed, timed injectors, mass-air sensors, etc. Which means L-jet an awful lot.

Anyway, there's tons of info out there on the various systems, but you have to make sure you're talking apples and apples. I've heard, but don't know for sure, that Triumph used a semi-proprietary system rather than the K-jet eveyrone else used at the time.

well, this one is the l-jetronics and the components pictured look identical to the ones on my 7. The circuit diagram looked almost identical to the one in my tr7 manual, so I think that it is very close
