first night drive since the reassembly!

well i finally got all the driving lights to
work.....i needed a hot connection reattached
that goes across the rear of the car, and my
non working blinker was a loose wire....
shoulda had it goin a week ago but i just wasnt
motivated with the heat and mosquitos!
but anyway, i drove my car tonight after dark for
the first time since putting it back together
with the new windshield........
considering i need dash lights, everything went
pretty well except for some water spots on the
new windshield reflecting a few headlights....
im satisfied for now :wink: ......zimmmmy

In my mind, there is a truer sense of being one with the car during a night drive.

Pick a back road...the fewer cars you encounter the better...and preferably in an area where there's not many houses; just you, the car, and the road.

Remove distractions, no passengers, no radio/GPS/cell phone/etc; just you, the car, and the road.

Drive a comfortable speed, too fast and the focus shifts from the enjoyment to conquest; just you, the car, and the road.

Pick an evening when there is a bit of chill in the air, at least enough to require long sleeves or a light jacket. The brisk air seems to heighten one's senses and enhance the experience of just you, the car, and the road.

Zimmy-I was right out there with you on a test run myself. Congrats! I know you've worked very hard to get it to this point. We'd all love to see some pics of you and the car out on the road. It sounds like everything went smooth on your test run. I blew the speedometer light bulb, somehow managed to disconnect the left front side marker light, and had a deer cross in front of me. Talk about distractions! Oh well.

The best part is the change of temperature as you go from the lower elevations to the higher ones and back. 50 feet seems to be enough to do it.
