Last night was a pretty nice night, so I went out for a drive. I stopped at the Merritt Square Mall to go check out this computer shop that has a pretty good reputation around the area. When I came back out to my Spitfire it didn't start. First I thought I flooded my carb, which I've done a few times. So I sat for a few mins, pulled the choke in and out a few times, then tried it again. After a few more tries I pop the bonnet and see if something came loose. Everything looked tight and in place. I then check the back of the car for gas, and sure 'nuff I got gas, as so does the car. I look in the back to see if maybe my fuel line popped loose. Nope, nice and tight, but I then realized I forgot to put my tools back in my boot. After slapping myself a few times I called a local, good reputation, towing. Doug's towing quickly arrived with a flat bed and everything needed to get my low-rider up on the truck with no damage. After dropping me off at home, and my car back in the garage, I went inside and grabbed me a Blue Moon and slice of orange. About 3 sips into this fine beer, I realized I forgot to pop off the distributer cap and see if its corroded, cuz for sure thats something you can do without any tools. I walk into the garage, pop the cap, pull the keys out of my pocket, scrape off a bit of corrosion, pop the cap back on, and sure as heck... fired right up as faithfully as a Honda.
Man... the things you forget in the moment of mild frustration
