I'm installing the dash lighting and wiring on my BN7, (april 1959 build date) I purchased the car as a basket case so no referance. The dash lighting on the tach and speedometer is no problem, however on the temp and fuel gage all that is provided is a metal type holder attached to the gage hold-down bracket that would place the lighting bulb over the top, but outside of the gage, no cover or real method of directing the light into or over the gage face. A small slot runs around the gage but has a plastic dark colored piece that would prevent much light from shining into the gage. The light bulbs, as are, would do an excellent of lighting the back side of the dash but not much else. Am I missing some parts, or does the dark plastic ring need a gap to allow light into the gage? O r is this just the way it's suppose to be?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
