So, I'm installing the main bearings in my 10CC block just now getting ready to tighten the crank down for the first time with plastiguage to check clearances...but, I realized I'd forgotten to squirt some carb cleaner down in the oil holes in the block to blow out the galleys (just for safety's sake!)...no big deal, I just removed the bearings to do that

EXCEPT...

I was using a small screwdriver to push the bearings out of their position & I slipped - scratch in a bearing...so deep I can hook my fingernail in it! #*&%^&^@@%&$#$@

So, Moss is overnighting a set of main bearings to me right now.

#*%&^&^#$%^&$$#$%%

....& that's all I'm going to say about that! %^&**#

Been there Tony. I have been so broke I had to pick the best used old one and go back with that. Also had to do that with a broken new ring once. Its sickening I know. Maybe you can keep them to use on another since you are in the business.

At least you didn't tighten the cap down with the bearing in backwards... Someone I... ugh... know... did that recently. It made him feel very, very stupid.
