I've yet to have a bad eBay experience, so for me it is even sadder to see so many attempts by so many to defraud others through phony eBay dealings and just generally ruin it for the rest of us.
The latest faux eBay scam I've seen involves someone forging a "message from eBay member" e-mail. Oddly, it's a real auction in the links, but just as oddly, both of the ones I've gotten are from the SELLER of the item supposedly asking ME if I'm "really selling this item"! Worst part is that almost everything else looks legit...until you click on the "Respond Now" button. THAT'S the link to the bad site.
Of course, the initial "red flag" involves the fact that odds are the item in question is something you'd never have searched for, let alone bid on (or owned and tried to sell)!
