Shawn, anyway you can get five or so sets sent over to help us out with overseas shipping?

Any idea on price? Are they gonna be the straight pound/dollar exchange rate, better priced or more due to shipping? There have been many interested folks in the 3.55 in the past few years and I know for certain price is a factor.

Wow - that's going to be a real game changer.
Running your standard 4 speed transmission what kind of rpm would you see at 60mph? Around 3K? A little more maybe 3.3K?
That would be ultra cool. :driving:

However... if your car does not have any low end "grunt" a 3.5 diff might make starts a little hard on the clutch.

Running a 1:1 4th at 3000 RPM and a 3.55 gear ratio should put you right at 60 MPH. At 3500 it would be at 71 MPH.

I don't think it'll be life altering. Maybe 50 miles less out it's complete life span.

That's a good question, I would like to know the answer to that myself. Maybe it's just the satisfaction you get in bringing it to everyone's attention that's been waiting for this. Me included.

Just pickin'. I worked in autoparts forever. I love to sell, solve problems and fill needs. Once a counterman, always a counterman...

Just let me know when y'all are read to open Moss' southern warehouse. I know where there is a HUGE warehouse that you can get DIRT CHEAP and it's close to the interstate. It used to be a lingerie factory. The local labor pool is very ethical too. Small town, good folks.

(Ooops, there I go again. )

So is anyone running this gear ratio with a rib case and a 1275? I have been looking for a Datsun trans but if this can fix up my woes for cruising on the freeway then I can live with the non-syncro first (I think). And I just had my diff rebuilt, figures.

Kim (regularman) has the 5 speed and the 3.55 behind a 1275. We've discussed this before while I was working on the 1500/210 5 speed swap, but I can't remember what he said about straight 4th gear cruising. I do know this, he loves having both. He did say that in 5th it's quite a cruiser. You can mantain speed but can't accelerate in 5th.

Send him a PM.

Oh, and guys, after I sell the TR I'll be finshing up the 1500/210 5 speed swap.
