And I'm driving the 65th Anniversary Edition of the Jeep
Wrangler. I'd say the entire Jeep breed has a strong
bloodline and a glorious heritage. The Mrs drives a fancy
Jeep. My other car is a Six. (edit: w/ 137,000 miles on it)

Keep on Jeepin' !!!

I can't top kodanja's Mercedes, but I thought 280,000 on on a '65 VW flatbed P/U was pretty good. Yeah, I built more than one motor for that one -- but the last one was real sweet! It finally rusted to bits. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Gonna turn 200,000 next month on a 95 Roadmaster wagon; think I'll treat it to it's second tune-up ever /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Previous "LBC support vehicle" had an estimated 250,000 when I junked it, never had the heads off. Not bad for a car that Consumer Reports ranked one of the "10 Worst" in the US !

No idea what ol TS39781LO actually had on it when it was wrecked, but I had rolled the odometer over apparently for the second time, years before. But it had a successsion of engines & transmissions, mostly due to my mistakes (and total lack of money) over the years.

My '93 Ranger had 217,000 when sold. It's for sale again with bad tranny. Body is bad after a few accidents being used as a delivery truck. I guess that explains the tranny too.

Had near the "quarter" on my first B before it finally succumbed to the rust mites. Alfa has over 180K but a 1750cc transplant about 80K ago. A friend got an '85 Civic new and pushed it past 250K on the original engine.

We BOUGHT Diesela with 250K showing. "Rattle ON, Sister!" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

My 1958 TR3A reads 78023 on the speedometer but it's been around once so it really is about 178023 miles. I write "about" because when I bought this TR brand new in May, 1958, it came with a 3 month, 3000 miles guarantee. I drove almost that far in the first month, so I reached up under the dashboard and disconnected the drive cable so it wouldn't go over 2900 miles on the clock. When I took it back for the 3-month check-up, I re-connected the cable before I arrived at the dealer's shop. Also I rallied my TR quite a bit in its first life from 1959 to 1964 and connected the speedo drive cable to a Halda Speedpilot. I also remember that I drove the car for about a year with a broken cable where the mileage didn't move. I could guess the MPH by watching the tachometer. So I'd guess I must have about 10,000 miles more than what the speedo reads.

I do know for sure that since I finished the restoration in 1990, I have driven it 97,688 miles. The photo was taken at VTR 2007.

My first MGB had 99,900+ on it when it turned over. Unfortunately, I didn't roll the odometer, but the whole car.

I had a 85 Dodge Ramcharger with 290,000 miles when I gave it away because it refused to die. Original engine (318) w/rebuilt heads (twice) and rebuilt transmission (twice) and rebuilt A/C (countless times). The last time it burned a valve, I replaced only the burnt valve -the machinist picked a used one off the floor and put it in after I convinced him that I was not doing another 'proper' rebuild.

Top car in the stable here is the Bimmer at 178K. Runs like a top. no smoke. I'm guessin it's got a lotta life left.
My 67 Galaxie (that my great uncle bought new) had 235K on the 390 when I tore the engine down for the first time. But it was totally shot by then, and it diden't see any more miles after that.
