Sorry, brain fade here...

Someone in some thread in a galaxy far far away recently made a comment about someone, I think in the mid-west, that has a large stash of TR3 bits. I just found out today that we need a decent used trunk lid for a car that I am conducting through a nut/bolt resto.

If anyone has a clue as to whom I might be referring, please pass along the information.

Of course any other sources would be good to know too.

BTW: I never have figured out how to be automatically alerted to responses to threads on this site, so just in case, please shoot your information to my email address if you would. jackscars@charter.net

Thanks, Jack

Jack....You might tell us what year the TR3 is that you are working on. That would be helpful. Gil NoCal

Or more particularly what commission number -- I can think of 3 styles of lids off-hand, perhaps there were more.

The different trunk lids were -

A. Small mouth TR3 had a center key lock (no handle) and T key locks either side.
B. Pre 60000 TR3A's had a center keyed handle, no T locks and the hinges sat flat on the panel. Folded metal cross brace beneath.
C. Post 60000 TR3A's had the keyed handle but the hinges sat on plinths. Tubular cross brace beneath.
