    Turn Signals Blinking too fast

I'm helping a friend get all of the lights working on his 59 TR3A after someone did some "creative rewiring". I have managed to get all the lights to work, but the left turn signal lights, both front and rear are blinking at a much faster rate than the right side. Both lights blink. I know that the grounding can affect the blink rate, but will this occur if only one of the left turn signal lamps has a faulty ground? What other things can cause only the left signals to blink too fast? Can incorrect bulbs cause this problem?

Yes, incorrect bulbs can do this. Note that when just one blinker bulb is burned out, the lights blink faster. This is due to less resistance in that circuit. What could cause a decreased resistance, but still have the lights work? Could be incorrect bulbs of a lower resistance. Try switching both bulbs side to side. Good luck, Scott in CA

Having the wires switched on the front lamp can do it, too. Check that the turn signal is much brighter than the park lamp function.
