1952 MG TD MkII. I have spent many hours and many pounds bringing this beauty to where she is today, but it is time to let someone else enjoy the smile she puts on your face every time you get her on the road. This is the MkII Competition model of which only 1700 were made. With a more highly tuned engine using an 8.1:1 compression ratio giving 57 bhp (43 kW) at 5,500 rpm. The TD MkII also featured twin fuel pumps, additional Andrex dampers, and a higher ratio rear-axle. In the time I have owned the car, I have fitted a new fuel tank, fuel lines, both SU pumps. Renewed all the brake lines, master and slave cylinders, and brake shoes. Fitted new tyres, new exhaust and indicators. Replaced many rubbers and bushes. After fitting the new fuel tank, it was impossible to match the paint colour, so the car was completely re-painted. The interior and hood is very original, along with all the side curtains, which are all with the car and in great condition. A few niggly things still today are restoring the wiper motor as well as finding out why the high beam on the headlights is not working. Apart from that, put the key in and drive. ÂŁ18,500
