TR2/3/3A TR3 Exhaust Recommendations

Looks like I need to replace the exhaust on my '59. Car is a survivor car, not a restoration and my goals are really just to make it a reliable driver. Any recommendations on a good exhaust system? I am happy to pay a little more for a stainless steel system since I like the idea that I may have to remove some components in the future if I ever decide to do a restoration. Not really concerned about the sound. One of my biggest concerns is that it fits well and is something I can install myself without cutting, welding, bending, etc. No local muffler shops so I would have to rent a trailer and borrow a truck if I had to bring it somewhere; something I would rather not do.

Been looking at the Falcon system Moss has as well as their Tourist Trophy version. Also looked at the Bell exhaust that I saw referenced in an earlier post. Should I stick with a stock system? Who has the best fit? Should I go with Monza? Should I upgrade to headers? Not sure what the advantages are of these.

I used the Falcon system and installed it with ordinary hand tools - a perfect fit. This was around 1987.

A couple of years ago one of the components (I think it was the resonator) failed with a split seam. Everything came apart like it had been assembled last week. Falcon/TRF replaced the failed component at no cost to me.

When I say 'a perfect fit' -- a TR3 has that tight area through the cruciform and close clearances to the diff, etc. so there is some fiddling to assure no contact with the frame and parts... but that is normal and did not require bending or modifying anything.

Thanks, that is very helpful. It looks like both TRF and Moss sell the Falcon exhaust so I can just try and find the best deal.

I bought the stainless Bell exhaust from BSCR (Moss distributor) when the Tourist Trophy system wasn't available (and my original had a gaping hole in it). Fit perfectly and has an awesome sound....very happy.
