Stag Sourcing a Stag Type 35 automatic

Hey Folks,

I was off at the tire shop today getting some new tires for one of the cars. One of the guys there mentioned his brother was searching for a Type 35 gearbox for his Stag with no luck.

Anyone have any leads?

It shouldn't be too hard to find one,
as they were used in AMCs,Jags,Cortinas,plus
a whole lot of other cars.
I gave one away a few years back (it -
was going into a Lous Elan),& have seen a few
for free.
Let me know if you want me to put the
word out on the English Ford forums.

Same trans . Now there's a difference in size and power

Well I know where 2 or 3 are with the engine plate automatic adapter/flywheel, ect.

Does he want to convert a manual to an automatic or replace a trashed unit?

I am converting from an Automatic to a manual and will have my BW35 available.

Does anyone know if this is the same unit used in the TR7 automatic? If it is, I might try to rat hole one for my daughters TR, as hers is rather iffy and tempermental.
