Kind of a light, metallic blue.
Washington Plates, "MMMINEEE" or something close.
Frame said "Real Thing".
RHD, no less.

Right across the driveway from my RHD MK2 Jag.

Couldn't find the owner (was at Starbux).

One of you folks?

I don't recognize the plates. You didn't mention where you are and where you saw the car and there is no information in your user profile about your location. (Washington State... or Washington DC?).

State.
Saw two RHD later/old style Minis at the car show in Kirkland yesterday (along with a TR3, XKE, XK 120, couple of Ferraris) but that one wasn't there.

The Brit Field Meet is next week end, I'll see if it's there.

I always thought that the lack of waving was limited to folks driving "modern" Jags, yet, I see as many driving AH, MG, and TR's not.

Maybe they don't recognize an oval grille and RHD?

Funny.

Saw a MB 300SLR, which I don't recall ever seeing before.....twin head supports, going all the way back to the boot lid.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_300_SLR

Well, no wonder, as only 9 were built!

I made an inquiry and my friend from Seattle says he doesn't recognize the car's description or the license plate. Sorry, I don't think it's anyone on this board... yet.

I am hoping to see it this Saturday at the All-British Field Meet, and I'll try to get him or her logged in!

Hi Mr. Lawson, isn't that Erics Mini, the Mini built from a collection to drive around the country a while back? I could be wrong though.

Hi QS. It could be Eric's. I contacted Chuck H. since he seems to know everyone and their Mini up that way. He didn't recognize the car so I didn't pursue it further.

How's life w/o the Moke? I still can't believe you sold it.

Well, saw him again yesterday, opposing me on the Hairpin on Juanita Drive.
Now, that was funny......me in a RHD Jag, hugging the inside of the hairpin uphill, he, RHD, screeching full chat around the outside of the hairpin downhill.

I did flash my lamps at him....

If he was in an early Mini... don't take offense if he didn't wave or flash you back. It's heck getting your hand out the sliding windows of a Mk1/2 Mini to wave and there is no headlight flasher function. I added a headlight flasher function to my car when I added the headlamp relay panel so I could at least "say hello" to other LBCs.

I hope you meet the guy someday soon!

Yeah.......I have driven them, and it's a gennie, not a "new" one.
I had to fix the flash on my Jag....pin worn a bit, hit the column surround, but got it.

I keep seeing this car, have yet to actually meet the blighter.

Always interested in seeing another RHD vehicle.....except Postal or Lada....

I'd be inclined to think Replica.....Daimler-Benz keep all the real ones, apart from one in the French National Motor Museum in Mulhouse.

Maybe.
We looked and looked (but didn't touch).....
Certainly did not have the thick fibreglas panels one expects on replicas.
I do find one that is replicated from hand-formed aluminium.....so maybe that's why it didn't appear replicated.

Not all replicas are fibergalss. Especially when it comes to that level of car. There is a Brazillian replicator of Bugatti's and it would take a very well trained eye to see the difference between a real Bugatti and one of those replicas. You know the replicas are good when they cost 6 figures.

I think you probably mean Argentinian? Have a look here. Not a great website, but a few super pictures. These guys are re-manufacturing, and such is the interest in the cars, people will buy them.
