Okay, first off, hello everybody, I'm Joey, or MGBloke. Nice to join you all.
I have a question. i'm getting ready to put a Mallory distributor into my 1967 Mk I MGB Roadster. What i'm wondering is this: Is it okay to put a mechanical advance dizzy in my car to replace the vacuum one I currently have in it? Is the advance unit within the distributor itself? Also, does anyone know of electronic ignition kits for mallory distributors, or if I even need them?
My alternative option is buying a replacement Lucas dizzy and putting an electronic ignition. Can i replace a 25d with a 45d, as Northwest Import Parts claims? So many questions. Any advice? Thanks a lot. I'm having a Weber downdraft installed, if that's of any use to any of you. Thanks again.
