Oil Change after Storage - AKA the 4 month oil change

I'm slowly going through my car. It's been at least 15 years since it ran. Luckily, it was a one owner car and very original before I inherited it.
I started with an oil change.
Based on the BCF recommendations I went ahead and pulled the oil pan and valve cover. I'm glad I did. It had a fair amount of sludge.
The pickup, oil pump, and oil return also needed some love.
To clean everything, I used a pressure washer, lots of PB blast, and some carb cleaner on the non painted bits.
The oil pan was actually harder than I expected give that it's a large flat surface. There was a lot of sludge on both sides.
The valve cover was much the same - although it went pretty quickly.
I used a toothbrush for the valvetrain area. Q-tips when I really had to dig in there. But, I was able to pull almost all of the sludge out of the springs, etc.
I pulled out the oil pump and strainer. It was very clean by the time it was finished.
I'm definitely glad that I pulled everything and dug into the motor a bit. The bottom end was clean - but everything down near the pan was caked. I went through a box of gloves, 1/2 gallon of PB, and 2 rolls of shop towels. I was very glad for the painted shop floor in my garage.
I'll post the Part 2 pics after I figure out how to get them off my new phone.
