I am running errands and stop by close to an antique and toy store, I like old toys so I stop in. On top of a pile of old magazines this jumps out at me:

I ask how much, I was hoping he says 2 bucks, but he gets on eBay and says $10. Done, love the artwork

David Townsend and I were discussing Healey brochures just the other day. The artwork on all the brochures is really great. Not surprisingly, the Sprite brochures are geared to a younger owner, while the big Healey stuff is aimed at a more mature, better-off buyer:

That's great! I still have a 1973 Buick brochure, the only one I kept out of the dozens upon dozens every time my parents went looking for a car. Should have kept them all.

I have a few too, both American and British. I attended car shows in Detroit from about the age of 8. Only a few survived because the parents were always throwing the stuff away. (including about 50 model cars, and my 50's baseball card collection) ... who knew they'd be so collectable one day.

Rick, somebody made the cover of that 3000 brochure into a print on metal a few yes back, I have it up in my office, along with a similar TR3 one. Great stuff.

Nice find!

I've spent a reasonable amount of time on eBay over the last few years collecting all the brochures and magazine ads for Bugeyes that I could find. I've just about found all of the ones I've ever heard of. Fun stuff, and takes up much less room than more cars!

very cool! what I love about those ads (generally - these ones aren't too bad) is the perspective - people painted smaller to make the cars look almost full sized. Oh, and, it is still a dream to take Ms Triss one day and see if I can't recreate the ads.
