Lower control arm bushings

Hi all, been away for a while. I'm starting in on my 77 B, and one of the first spots that need attention is the lower control arm bushings. I'd like to go urethane, and wonder if anyone has recommendations between the Prothane and Energy Systems.

Also, what else should I do while I'm there? Is it worthwhile to replace all the suspension rubber or is that asking for more trouble?

Personally, I used the V8 bushings, but when I tore down the front end, I did replace all the bushings in there. Mostly because they were totally shot.

For my rear axle, I have purchased ProThane, for no other reason that they were available right away (even though I don't need them yet).

I think either way, you will be happy doing all the front end stuff at once.

I'd avoid any poly bushings that doesn't have a stainless steel inner sleeve included. The best bushings out there IMHO are Superflex. Prothane is pretty good though.

Thank you both for your replies. I guess I'll do the whole shootin' match. BTW Steve, do you have a supplier for that Superflex? I looked them up and could only find them in England. They are happy to ship to the US, but I have enough grey hairs without doing that exchange rate.

You can buy them from Mech Spec on eBay. They come from England but the conversion is already done and they accept PayPal. It's just like ordering them domestically. Every once in a while someone over here offers them but then they go out of business. It's very strange.
